We’re proud to announce TADHack Global 2018, from the 13-14 October for most locations. TADHack Madrid will be a week earlier, 5th and 6th October, as the 12th October is Fiesta Nacional de España.
TADHack Global is a hackathon that helps people learn about the latest Internet, IT, and Telecoms technologies; and use those technologies to solve problems that matter. Even though we call ourselves a hackathon, we have an amazing variety of people from across coders, non-coders and all those in-between. Its a unique mix no other event achieves, diversity directly correlates to the quality of hacks.
This year we have sponsors: Apifonica / Dzinga, CoSMo Software, and VoIP Innovations / Apidaze. With more to be announced.
We’re hoping to bring on lots more exciting technologies for people to play with. At some of the locations there are also local sponsors’ technologies, and some locations have cool toys to play with. For example, at TADHack London held at IdeaLondon, where UCL’s IoT (Internet of Things) labs are based, they bring out some of those IoT toys to play with 🙂 Since TADHack’s founding IoT has been a theme, with businesses being founded from those hacks
TADHack Global is made possible thanks to hundreds of people around the world who love technology, and are excited by the democratization of technologies so anyone can use them. They run locations because they want to educate, inspire, and make a difference in people’s lives and the communities they live in. Thanks for all your support.
We plan to run locations in: Athens, Brisbane, Buenos Aires, Chicago, Japan, Johannesburg, Kharkov, Krakow (coming soon), Kyiv (coming soon), Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Melbourne, Netherlands, Pakistan, Popayan, Romania, South Florida, Sri Lanka, and more cities to be announced. We also allow remote hacking, from the comfort of your own home.
Our hacks include programmable telecoms (voice, video, messaging), internet of things, cloud computing, robotics, machine learning, speech and face recognition, mobile payments, enterprise communications, decentralized web, blockchain, encryption, open source, and many other technologies. Check out previous years’ hacks from 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2014. We’re hoping this year to bring more of the decentralized web / Ethereum community into TADHack Global.
If you’d like to sponsor TADHack Global or run a location please get in touch.
We’re investigating ideas on how to help teams get more from TADHack. For example using Sparkboard (not Cisco’s Sparkboard) the tool used at Hacking Health to help people form teams and discover interesting projects. We’re setting up a TADHack Sparkboard at the moment, sign in to test it out.
If you already have an idea to hack, come along and make it happen, we’re open to all hacks, TADHack is for Everyone!
If you have ideas on challenges to help those seeking guidance for their hacks please let us know, or add it to TADHack Sparkboard.
We’re an open community that simply wants to make a difference using technology.
