Thank you to everybody who took part in TADHack Global 2024.
Sponsored by Strolid , Inc. (creators of vCon) and TSG Global, Inc . (creators of TNID)
We had people taking part from Colombia, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, UK, Mexico, USA, and Tanzania. We have close to 400 registrations. An amazing diversity of hacks, that also included SCITT, Africa’s Talking, Ideamart, and many other resources. As I say at every TADHack, mashup the sponsors’ resources.
Important Note. As STROLID dominated the hacks, we’re running a follow-on hackathon for everyone to have a chance at winning the remaining $4k in TSG Global’s prize money. Due date: end of day, Sunday November 3rd. They’ll judge on Monday 4th Nov, and announce the winners at the end of the day. We’ll publish TSG Global’s additional directions tomorrow. Yes, vCon winners are welcome the enter, as is everyone in the TADHack community.
Strolid Winners
Winner: vSense, Brian Mwangi. $2500
vSense is an online platform designed to help businesses and brands gain actionable insights from consumer feedback, especially from comments left on social media and review platforms. It addresses the challenge of manually analyzing large volumes of comments, allowing businesses to efficiently identify customer complaints, requests for new features, and other key sentiments. By automating the analysis process, vSense saves time, highlights valuable insights, and enables brands to respond quickly to consumer needs.
Winner: Emotiscan, Steev Goodwin. $2500
Sentiment analysis of vCons to help improve search and filter agent
results, to pin-point specific issues and all using SCITT to sign the
analysis. It reduces the “big data” problem of processing 1000s of vcons by reducing each conversation to a series of numbers, representing the
customer’s sentiment. When the sentiment changes in an unexpected way, i.e. they’re not getting happier, we can flag this in an executive
summary for later review. The summary/analysis of each call is then
signed via SCITT, and tagged with call IDs and software version, in
case an amend/append step is needed.

TSG Global Winners
TNID Spam Reporter, Matt Williams, $500
TNID helps companies to more reliably connect with customers, but customers need to feel in control, so TNID needs an easy-to-use customer-facing app… and that’s what I’ve built, using React Native to give a native user experience across Android, iOS and web (although only tested on web so far). It currently supports the standard OTP authentication flow and the ability to view and add spam reports.

TSG Global Additional Direction and $4k Prize Pot
In the 10 years of TADHack we usually have a fair distribution of hacks across sponsors. This year was a first, STROLID dominated the hacks, congratulations Thomas! Several hackers had mentioned to me they were planning to hack on TNID, and ended up using vCon.
To give TSG Global a chance to access the amazing TADHack talent. Noah will share some additional direction tomorrow, and the delivery date is: end of day, Sunday November 3rd. They’ll judge on Monday, and announce the winners at the end of the day. Yes, vCon winners are welcome the enter, as is everyone in the TADHack community.
