En tan sólo 2 semanas, el 10 y 11 de mayo estaremos llevando a cabo TADHack Uruguay en Montevideo en las instalaciones de la Universidad ORT Uruguay, patrocinado por dicha institución y Telestax. Este será nuestro primer evento en Uruguay y el segundo en América Latina; Iquall Networks llevó adelante en Buenos Aires el primero de ellos el año pasado. Participando remotamente, hemos tenido ganadores tanto de Sudamérica como de Centroamérica desde el comienzo de TADHack.

Ampliar constantemente la comunidad TAD alrededor del mundo constituye uno de los objetivos de TADHack. Llevamos adelante TADHack Japón en febrero con enorme éxito, siendo éste nuestro primer evento en Japón. En TADHack Uruguay, el idioma principal del evento será el español. Los desarrolladores tendrán a disposición los recursos de Telestax para el desarrollo de hacks y la oportunidad de ganar un premio en efectivo.

Ya tenemos múltiples suscripciones remotas para TADHack-mini Uruguay. Será un hackaton excitante en una muy agradable ubicación.

Respecto a los resultados de TADHack Londres llevado a cabo apenas unas semanas atrás, puedes obtener información aquí. TADHack-mini Londres fue superior al mismo evento del año anterior con 88 personas participando, 18 hacks, mayor diversidad de personas involucradas y muchos más hacks ganadores que requirieron apenas un mínimo desarrollo de software. Esta es una tendencia importante; las herramientas y plataformas continúan democratizando las telecomunicaciones por lo que más y más personas pueden utilizar sus aplicaciones, servicios y modelos de negocios. Entre los ganadores tuvimos a nuestro hacker más joven a la fecha con tan solo 15 años de edad, con su mamá ganando un premio para un hack aparte, así como muchos hacks impactantes siendo desarrollados en un modelo de Producto Mínimo Viable o MVP por sus siglas en inglés.

Estamos construyendo el portal Web para TADHack Global (octubre 14-16) a lanzarlo durante el mes de mayo. Será un evento global con al menos 30 localidades alrededor del mundo, cubriendo casi todos los continentes, siendo la Antártida la excepción 🙂

In just over 2 weeks, on the 10th and 11th of May we will be running TADHack Uruguay in Montevideo at Universidad ORT Uruguay, sponsored by ORT and Telestax. This will be our first event in Uruguay, and our second in Latin America, Iquall Networks ran the Buenos Aires location at TADHack Global last year. We’ve had remote entry winners from Latin and Central America since the beginning of TADHack.

One of TADHack’s objectives is to constantly broaden the TADS community around the world. We ran TADHack Japan in February with great results, our first hackathon in Japan. At TADHack Uruguay, Spanish will be the main language of the event. Developers will be able to hack on the Telestax’s resources for the chance to win cash prizes.

We have several remote entries for TADHack Uruguay, its going to be an exciting hackathon in a very cool location.

TADHack-mini London was larger than last year with 88 people through the door, with 18 hacks, with more diversity of people involved, and many more hacks winning that required little coding. This is an important trend; the tools and platforms continue to democratize telecoms so more and more people can use it their applications, services and business models. Winners included our youngest hacker at 15 years old, his mum winning a prize for a separate hack, and many impressive hacks that are being developed into MVP (Minimum Viable Product).

We’re building the website for TADHack Global (14-16 Oct) at the moment and will launch that in May. Its going to be massive global event with at least 30 locations around the world. Covering almost every continent, Antartica being the exception 🙂
